The Grand Union Canal runs from Brentford to Birmingham. It has many branches caused by its history of amalgamations of many other canals, including the Regents Canal, Hertford Union Canal, Warwick and Napton Canal,Warwick and Birmingham Canal, Birmingham and Warwick Junction Canal, Grand Junction and Old Grand Union Canal, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire Union Canal, Leicester Navigation, Loughborough Navigation and Erewash Canal.
