And to help speed up the process of selling during this house-buying tax-break season, we've gone ahead & done the radon inspection, the termite inspection, the home inspection, & bought a C.L.U.E. report & a home warranty. My favorite things about the home are that, for its 2600sf of inside (living) space, the monthly utilities have averaged only around $275 (we added extra insul.), & it's so very spacious & laid out wonderfully. I love the 370sf maintenance-free composite deck. It just really is a must see (esp. inside) after having had a good $85,000 spent updating it over the last half of its life! When the downstairs was remodeled, we found no cracks in the foundation, nor has there been any flooding in the walk-out basement. I "love" our walk-in closets! I'd describe the neighborhood as a nice, middle-income area with people of all ages. One set of our neighbors & we have each other's house keys & security codes, taking care to watch each other's homes while we're away. What I like the most about this area is how that it s within about a half mile of everything necessary (school, grocery stores, park, etc.), while within 2 miles of everything else (Post Office, Wal-Mart, restaurants, KU, hiway access, etc.). The streets have recently been resurfaced. This home is 2 blocks from a long jogging/bike path not in a hurry to move in, we d like to rent from you since we re not in a hurry to move out.
